patina selena planter

I’ve been a loyal Veradek customer for years and own several sets of their planters as well as a cooler table, so this purchase was especially disappointing. I ordered the Selena planter in Patina because the website shows a beautiful, rich rust or burnt-orange finish. What arrived was a faded brown planter that was nearly the same colour as the cardboard packaging. There are a few small orange speckles, which seem to show what the colour was supposed to look like, but the overall finish is nothing like the product photos.

The website images are very misleading and do not accurately represent the planter I received.

I’ve purchased a total of six of these planters and, overall, I really like them. Unfortunately, two of the six were noticeably mismatched, with very little oxidation compared to the others. Customer support was helpful and provided a credit, explaining that the planters would develop a patina over time. However, after two months, the two planters still haven’t developed any noticeable patina.

Overall, I’m very happy with the planters, but I would have preferred if all six had been properly oxidized before shipping, as the weathered/rusted look was the main reason I purchased them.
