Seasonal December Recipe: Mulled Wine

" Nothing warms up the soul on a chilly night better then a glass of mulled wine. This is a great one for your holiday party or chillin' around the fire. "

ingredients:

( Serving: 2 - 4 people ) 

350ml red wine (preferably an inexpensive Cabernet or Baco Noir)
2 cups apple cider
1/4 cup honey
2 cinnamon sticks
1 orange cut in half
4 whole cloves
4 cardamom pods
1 tbs pink peppercorns
1 slice of orange for garnish
1 cinnamon stick for garnish

 


 



method:

  1. Place first 8 ingredients in a medium pot and
    warm on the stove over medium heat until just a simmer.

  2. Turn off heat and let mixture steep for 1 hour.

  3. With a ladle, strain mix into a glass mug with handle
    and garnish with orange slice and cinnamon stick.
